DO YOU TAKE A COOKIE CUTTER APPROACH TO PARENTING?
Does your parenting style factor in that your kids are different from one another? Understanding personality and character will help you tailor your parenting strategies for better outcomes.

Popular guest expert Dr. Michael Maniacci will discuss personality and character and answer parents’ questions on Tues., Jan. 30, 7–8:30 p.m., Twin Groves Middle School Learning Center, 2600 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., BG. All interested adults welcome. Questions? Send email to the public information coordinator or call 847.459.4260, ext. 8022.

WHAT WOULD YOU ASK?
Simplifying Stevenson is a Q&A program for parents of current 8th-grade students. The single purpose of this popular 15th-annual program hosted by KCSD96 is to give parents the opportunity to ask Stevenson students–seniors and freshmen (and SHS Principal Troy Gobble)–questions about how SHS students choose their classes and extracurricular activities, make summer school decisions, make the transition from middle school, balance the workload, and more. No preregistration/No RSVP needed. All interested adults are welcome.
Simplifying Stevenson is Mon., Jan. 22, 7–8:30 p.m., in the Twin Groves Middle School Learning Center.
Arrive late/leave early as your family schedule requires.
Need more info? Call 847.459.4260, ext. 8022, or send email to the public information coordinator.

THE REQUIREMENT FOR SOME TO PROVE RESIDENCY AGAIN
Attention: Parents of all current KDG and 5th-Graders
Who must prove residency?
Parents of all current KDG and 5th-Graders.

Yes–even if you proved residency at the start of the current school year–and even if you have other students currently attending KCSD96 schools–it still is necessary to prove residency again for current kindergartners and current 5th-graders. Administrative assistants at Willow Grove and KCSD96 elementary schools will accept proof of residency and provide a required form for your signature.

At what school should you prove residency?
Prove residency at Willow Grove for current kindergartners.
Prove residency at the elementary school your 5th grader currently attends.

How do you prove residency?
At Willow Grove or the elementary school your 5th grader attends now, please visit the building office and present the following to the administrative assistant:
• a current monthly mortgage or lease statement or property tax bill
AND
• a current utility bill

By when must you prove residency?
No later than Fri., Feb. 23. This deadline is important! Your current kindergartner’s or current 5th grader’s online registration form link will not be emailed when 2018–19 registration opens for all returning students districtwide on Mar. 1 and he/she will not be assigned a teacher for the 2018–19 school year until you do so.
