PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) Testing begins for students in Grades 3–8. The testing window is Apr. 5–28.

Middle School Schedule Parent Night @ Woodlawn, 6362 Gilmer Rd., Long Grove @ 7–8 PM
Parents whose students are currently in Grades 5–7 in any KCSD96 school are invited to attend this informational program on the new middle school schedule. (Note: This opportunity also will be offered at Twin Groves on Apr. 13, 7 - 8 PM.)

SET REMINDERS FOR APRIL PARENT PROGRAM DATES:
• ERIN’S LAW – Apr. 4 program info for parents of KDG–Grade 5
Illinois law known as Erin’s Law requires schools to implement an age-appropriate sexual assault and abuse awareness and prevention curriculum for grades Pre-K through 12. Kildeer Countryside CCSD 96 researched and observed best practices and programs for delivering this instruction, selecting Victor Pacini to present Be Seen & Heard ©.

An informational opportunity for parents with Mr. Pacini will be held at 6 PM on Tues., Apr. 4, in the Mat Room at Ivy Hall School, 1072 Ivy Hall Lane, Buffalo Grove. Attendees will be able to preview the information Mr. Pacini will present to KCSD96 elementary students. MORE INFO

• TRANSITION TO MIDDLE SCHOOL - KCSD96 parents of current 5th graders invited Apr. 17
Get info you'll want to know about the transition to middle school. Principals Jessica Barnes and Greg Grana will discuss academics, extracurricular opportunities, and the middle schooler's day and answer your questions.
Mon., Apr. 17, 7 PM, at Twin Groves Middle School, 2600 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., BG, for all parents of current 5th graders.

Incoming Stevenson students will hear from a panel of SHS Catalyst students and have a casual, candid Q&A opportunity about social life at school and on weekends for Stevenson students

Parents of incoming Stevenson freshmen will hear from an expert panel including SHS faculty's Dr. Cristina Cortesi, Substance Abuse Prevention Coordinator, law enforcement officers, and other experts. Learn considerations in hosting a party for your student, ways you can support your student's social transition to SHS, and more. All interested adults and incoming freshmen are welcome.
