BAND & ORCHESTRA BOOSTER NEWS    Volunteers needed! High-school students welcomed!
Many volunteers still are needed to assist at the 2017 IGSMA (Illinois Grade School Music Association) Solo & Ensemble Contest, hosted by District 96 at Woodlawn Middle School on Sat., Feb. 4, from 8 a.m.–4 p.m.  We urgently need volunteers to work shifts as room monitors, concession sales, and parking assistants.  Even 2 hours of your time would be much appreciated! Your student does not need to participate in IGSMA for you to volunteer. High-school students are also encouraged to volunteer and their service hours will be recognized. To be directed to our Sign-Up Genius webpage to sign up for available jobs and shifts/times please CLICK HERE.

THE REQUIREMENT FOR SOME FAMILIES TO PROVE RESIDENCY AGAIN BY MAR. 10
Attention: Parents of all current KDG and 5th-Graders
Even if you proved residency at the start of the current school year–and even if you have other students currently attending KCSD96 schools–it still is necessary to prove residency again for current kindergartners and current 5th-graders. You may do so during your next visit to your kindergartner or 5th grader's current school. Another convenient time to prove residency is during parent/teacher conferences that will be held Mar. 9 and Mar. 10, if you cannot do so sooner. Prove residency at the school your student now attends.

How to prove residency:
At Willow Grove or the elementary school your 5th grader attends now, please visit the building office and present the following to the administrative assistant:
• a current monthly mortgage or lease statement or property tax bill
AND
• a current utility bill
Why it’s important: If you don’t prove residency by Mar. 10 for your current KDG or 5th grader, your student’s online registration form link will not be emailed when registration opens on Mar. 13 and he/she will not be assigned a teacher for the 2017-18 school year until you do so.
