Barnes & Noble book fair flier

Come out this Fri., 11/17 to the Woodlawn Book Fair at Barnes & Noble in Deer Park from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Every $20 spent earns a raffle ticket for one of the great baskets we have to raffle off. Enjoy performances by POMS, band, orchestra and from the musical "Oklahoma" and see the Scholastic Bowl team in action. Got some talent you want to show off? Then sign up for Open Mic at the Book Fair. Sing a song, recite poetry, play an instrument, tell some jokes, or whatever talent you want to share! (Just keep make sure to keep it appropriate--this is a family event, after all.) Come say hi to the P.E. teachers between 6:00 and 7:00 and earn a "no change pass" for gym. We will also have some pieces from the Art and Jewelry Clubs available for viewing. Round the evening out by decorating a cookie or topping a blended drink in the Cafe. Hope to see you there! Click here to download the flyer.

The Giving Tree graphicThe Community Service Club will be starting their November Project:  A Giving Tree to benefit local Children's Hospitals.  The members put a lot of thought and discussion into deciding and planning out this project and will be working on building the tree and listing the collection items at their next meeting on November 13, 2017.  Parents and students will have an opportunity to select a leaf off of our Giving Tree at the Parent-Teacher Conferences.  The collection will end the first week of December.  Please read the daily announcements for updated information and for the list of items we will be collecting.  If you have any questions, please contact Amy Neault.  The Community Service Club meets every Monday from 2:30-3:15 and is open to all Woodlawn students.
