Dear District 96 Families and Staff,

This is an unprecedented time for our community, coping with containing the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

We want to make sure that all of our students in District 96 whose families face financial challenges have their basic needs met.

Some of you have reached out to ask how you can contribute. If you have any extra non-perishable food supplies or household items that you would like to donate to help in that effort, we would greatly appreciate it. We are looking for the following items specifically:

Canned Goods
Boxed Pastas (noodles/mac & cheese etc…)
Sauces
Canned Soups
Boxed Cereals
Cereal/Protein/Granola Bars
Applesauce
Canned Fruit/Vegetables
Household Items

You can bring items for donation to your student’s school on Mon., March 16, 2020, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. ONLY. There will be boxes in the front vestibules for you to drop donations off.

In times of uncertainty, our community has always rallied to support one another. We appreciate your generosity and commitment to all of our KCSD96 District families.

Sincerely,
–Julie Schmidt, District 96 Superintendent of Schools
