On Thursday, April 6th, from 6:30-8:30 pm, the Prairie 5th grade girls will get together with Ivy Hall 5th grade girls at Twin Groves for a night of fun! This is a wonderful opportunity for the girls to get to know one another and become familiar with Twin Groves. Please help the committee and preregister by March 22nd.

Avoid the shopping hassles and store crowds and purchase your Prairie school supply kits now! Prices are all much lower than previous years! Each kit is only $55 and includes headphones or earbuds (depending on the grade), which can cost $20 alone!

BOOK FAIR THANKS!
A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support our Happy Camper Book Fair last week! All monies raised went directly back to Prairie's Library and ICT Department, so every book purchased helped give the gift of reading to our students.
Thank you to the volunteers who so graciously donated their time to help make the Fair a success: Jana Bertoldo, Yuko Nakajima and Karen Rothbardt.
Thank you for all the excitement and love for Polly the Porcupine! We gave out lots of cool pencils, had 12 lucky winners who received free books and raised over $110 to buy new books for "Cradles to Crayons". See you next year at the Book Fair!

José Castro, the only Head Custodian Prairie School has ever known, is retiring at the end of this school year. José has been with District 96 for nearly 37 years and is an invaluable member of the Prairie School family!
Prairie is making a memory book for José and would love for all friends and family from current and past years to contribute. This could be a short note or even a picture of yourself and how José helped you. Please keep your contribution to an 8 1⁄2” x 11” format or smaller. You can bring your contribution to Prairie, mail it in, or email it to Linda Johnson, who will be putting the memory book together.
We would also like to send José off with a gift. If you would like to make a monetary donation, please feel free to send it to Linda Johnson. Checks should be made out to KCSD96. We will get a gift card for José and his family to use as they see fit. Thank you for helping make José’s retirement celebration as memorable as his last 37 years at Prairie!
