Kildeer Principal's Message-September 13th

Kildeer Principal's Message-September 13th

Dear Kildeer Families,

Yesterday our school was a sea of yellow. Every staff member and student came to Kildeer in our brand new t-shirts, so generously donated by our PTO. I wish you could have seen their diligent work on Monday sorting, labeling, and bagging for easy distribution! GO PTO! I once again want to give a HUGE shout-out to Ms. Chan for the beautiful design. The shirts are something I think we will all cherish for a long time and will help us to continue our theme throughout the school year.

Kildeer also had the opportunity to come together during BUDDY CLASSROOMS. What did we do? We shared our I AM ME...WE ARE KILDEER posters with each other, of course! Want to take a peek? Please enjoy this album: Buddy Classrooms at Kildeer

COUGAR FUN RUN

On Wednesday morning, September 18th, all of the students and staff at Kildeer will be participating in the Cross Country Cougar Challenge which will last approximately one hour.  This is an annual event to promote fun and fitness, as well as a sense of community for everyone in our building.  Students are asked  to bring a water bottle with their name on it which can be used after the child is finished.  If your child chooses to wear sun screen it must be applied before school.  No staff member is allowed to apply sunscreen to any child in the building.  Thank you for your cooperation.

This is not a race……….and students may run or walk as they so choose and stop whenever they feel it necessary.  Students are also encouraged to wear Kildeer Spirit clothes or our school colors of blue and gold.  We hope for a beautiful sunny day!

We look forward to spending this time with your children!

Mr. Emde, Ms. Groessl, & Mr. Ostrowski

If you did not receive the email–which included links to info about understanding student growth, RIT scores, and general info about the MAP assessment–please contact Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning Jeanne Spiller.

Principal

p.s. I'm so proud of our Kildeer students. Today was Mr. Jose's last day in the cafeteria before he relocates to be with his family in Florida. He took great pride in his job and knew every student by name. Our Kildeer students made sure to give him a special goodbye today through words of gratitude or even hugs. We will miss you Mr. Jose!
