Kildeer Principal's Message- April 26th

Kildeer Principal's Message- April 26th

Kildeer Families,

This was such a great week! We truly enjoyed having the bookfair around AND the nice weather. I don't want to spoil the fun, but it sounds like there might be a little snow in our future tomorrow. Perhaps this will be the last? We shall see!

Wednesday night brought our incoming 1st-graders to Evening Story Time. This is such a great evening to welcome our new students to Kildeer and show them where they'll be next year. I love the purpose behind this evening to start their time at Kildeer on the right foot. As an addition this year, we added the chorus to perform and teach our future students "Show 5".

I have many thank yous for the evening such as our staff that took the time to read to our families. Thanks to Mr. Tatar and the amazing chorus for your talent. I also want to give a special shout-out to our student council representatives and Mrs. Norman for volunteering time to support the night. Lastly, thank you to our PTO! We are so fortunate for our partnership together. To our incoming families, WELCOME and we are so glad to have you as a part of the Kildeer family!

Kildeer "Kares" 2019
It's no surprise that our staff members are an integral part of the caring community that characterizes Kildeer School. And that will be even more obvious beginning on Apr. 29 and continuing through May when Kildeer Staff will be donating money for the opportunity to wear jeans to Kildeer on school days.

Through Kildeer Kares 2019, five charities they've designated as important to them will benefit, including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (Apr. 29–May 3); the Autism Society–Have Dreams (May 6–10); the American Brain Tumor Association (May 13–17); St. Jude's Children's Hospital (May 20–24); and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (May 27–31).  Last year, our Kildeer Staff's casual attire days raised over $1100 in donations.

At the Kieser household, we are celebrating my little guy turning TWO. Can anyone tell me how to slow down time? I'd sure appreciate it!

On a final note, the next time you are in the front office please be sure to send your appreciation to the fabulous Mrs. Fineman and Mrs. Campbell in recognition of Administrative Assistants' Day. We celebrated this week and I couldn't think of a better way to be welcomed into our building than by these two ladies. Thank you for all that you do!
