Kildeer Principal's Message- December 7th

Kildeer Principal's Message- December 7th

Kildeer Families,

I want to congratulate Mr. Tatar and the 2nd graders for a wonderful performance this week. Our school community always looks forward to the shows. When I was in a recent classroom visit, I learned that in all of his time here, Mr. Tatar has never repeated a performance. I think this speaks volumes to always wanting to make the performances meaningful and trying new things. Thank you to our 2nd-grade teachers and the specials team for also supporting this fabulous show.

Outdoor Recess in the Winter

As a reminder as long as the wind chill is appropriate, our students will go outside for recess.  Please send the proper outdoor wear for them to be warm and enjoy the snow. For students to be able to play in the snow they need to have boots, snow pants, hats, and gloves.  Students who do not have the proper outdoor attire will have to stay on the blacktop.

Parent Drop-Off & Pick-Up

Parents who need to enter the school during the hours of 8:10-8:25 or 3:00-3:15 should please park in the North West parking lot in order to avoid walking through traffic during the busiest times of the school day. This is a safety measure in place to ensure an efficient flow of traffic while also keeping students and adults safe. During other hours of the day, it is certainly appropriate to park in the lot directly in front of the school and utilize the crosswalk.

By parking in the North West lot area during the hours of 8:10-8:25 and 3:00-3:15, you can access the sidewalk without having to move across, in front, or behind cars that are in the drop-off line.

Thank you for understanding and supporting our school for safety!

This past week, I was out of town for a conference that focused on professional learning for educators. I am always amazed at the people I meet, the messages I hear, and just how much our district is already doing to help children succeed, feel safe, and grow! I came back feeling very energized and grateful to be a leader in this district. It also makes me pause to appreciate our supportive community of parents that partner with us. We make great strides together for the students when we work together! Thank you to everyone reading this right now!

Have a lovely weekend ahead!

Warm Regards,

Mrs. Vail Kieser

Principal
