The Superintendent’s Office at KCSD96, led by Superintendent Katie Sheridan, provides visionary leadership and strategic direction for the district. This office oversees all aspects of teaching and learning, school operations, and district initiatives to ensure that every student receives an exceptional education. Superintendent Sheridan works closely with the Board of Education, school leaders, staff, families, and the broader community to support student success, foster innovation, and uphold the district’s commitment to excellence.

IL Green Ribbon District

KCSD96 has been named a 2025 Illinois Green Ribbon School honoree for its outstanding commitment to environmental impact, wellness, and sustainability.

Advancing Innovation through STEM

KCSD96 unveiled a brand-new learning and collaboration space, called The Collaboratory, at Twin Groves Middle School. Its second Collaboratory is under construction at Woodlawn Middle School.
