Screenings

Early childhood screening addresses vision and hearing, fine/gross motor skills, speech/language, and cognitive activities.

Screening is designed to identify preschool students who may have special education needs.

Screening also serves to identify typically developing students who will be kindergartners in the upcoming school year AND whose parents want them to be considered for participation in our Blended Early Childhood Program. 

All parents/guardians interested in having their student attend the Early Childhood Blended Preschool Program must attend a screening prior to enrollment. Screening is by appointment only. To arrange an appointment, call the Willow Grove Early Learning Center at 847.541.3660. Preschool screenings are conducted at the Exceptional Learners Collaborative, 990 Corporate Woods Parkway, Vernon Hills, IL  60061.
