Woodlawn Principal's Blog 4/27/18

This week really seemed fast!  We had 3 track meets here at Woodlawn which is one of the perks of having the nicest track in the area, everyone comes to us!  Just a couple of items this week so it is easy reading.

Flex Survey

As we continue to reflect and refine on our practices during the newly implemented Flex period, we are seeking input and feedback from all stakeholders. Please take a few minutes to take this short survey regarding Flex. Your input will help guide our future work related to Flex so that we can continue to do what is best for students.

Stand Strong

Last night we hosted the Stand Strong coalition as they talked about the dangers of vaping and juuling.  I was stunned at the information that I heard last night. Our children are under attack by the advertisements that these companies are putting out there.  There will be other evenings like this and I have to say, we should all make the effort to hear about the dangers that vaping and juuling are posing to our children.

Wednesday was Administrative Assistant Day. Woodlawn is so fortunate to have such a great office staff.  I know that you see these people when you come into the building, but I get the great fortune of working with them and observing all that they do for our students. As a team, we all have our moments where we make a mistake, but for the most part, this group functions at the highest levels, all of the time. Thank you to Pam Kupsco, Susan Kazuk, Karen Fagel and Judith Pereira for making me look good. Clearly, that is not an easy job. Have a good weekend everyone.
