Superintendent's Message

Superintendent Kathryn SheridanIt is a true honor to serve as the superintendent of Kildeer Countryside School District 96, where our focus truly is every child, every school, every day.

We are a richly diverse early childhood/kindergarten through Grade 8 district comprising seven schools and approximately 3,200 students. Our students continue their education at Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois. District 96 is recognized for strong academics, solid financial footing, and highly qualified, dedicated teachers and administrators making professional contributions in their field.

District 96 is captivating because members of our community are active partners in contributing to our students' growth, well-being, safety, and enjoyment of their multifaceted school experience, which is a marker of true success.  We have a committed Board of Education that supports our work and closely monitors our future needs.  Our culture of continuous improvement defines our approach to every child, every school, every day, as we are committed to continually learning and honing our educational experience for students.

I joined as superintendent July 1, 2022, however, my dedication to District 96 began long ago.  I bring experience and leadership in education from my time as an assistant principal, principal, and director in our district.  Previous to my time in administration, I was a classroom teacher and instructional coach in a neighboring district.  Personally, my husband and I have 4 school-aged children and are active contributors to our community through volunteering, organizing, and coaching.  These experiences all contribute to my values-driven approach to the leadership of this district in the service of students.

I look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence while guiding the future of our schools.  I warmly welcome you to our schools and community.
