Dist. 96 Supt. Julie Schmidt selected for membership in Suburban School Superintendents

July 17, 2014

Kildeer Countryside School District 96 Superintendent of Schools Julie A. Schmidt has been selected for membership to Suburban School Superintendents (SSS), an organization of 150 noteworthy suburban school districts across the nation.

Suburban School Superintendents (SSS) was founded 49 years ago “to improve the quality of educational opportunities, programs, and services for children, staff, and parents in member districts.”

Many influential educators–including former presidents and officers of the American Association of School Administrators (AASA), as well as nationally selected Superintendents of the Year–have been members of the Suburban School Superintendents organization.

At scheduled meetings and through informal conversations, SSS members share information about their learning communities and discuss pedagogy and programs that are fostering students’ authentic academic growth.

The District 96 Board of Education celebrated Mrs. Schmidt’s selection at their regular meeting on July 15. “I’m honored to be nominated and elected to this prestigious association and look forward to the opportunities for rich collaboration that membership in Suburban School Superintendents will make possible,” said Mrs. Schmidt.
