Board appoints Principal Amy Gluck to new role

December 21, 2016

Mrs. Amy Gluck–currently principal of Ivy Hall Elementary School–is well equipped for her new role as director of educational services. She’ll begin that work in July 2017.

She has been the principal of Ivy Hall Elementary School since August 2012, but her
connection to District 96 began many years before.

A graduate of Stevenson High School and Indiana University (B.S., Education), Mrs. Gluck earned her master’s degree with a language and literacy concentration from National Louis University. She came to District 96 in 1997 to teach Grade 3 at what was then Willow Grove Elementary School. Amy continued as a classroom teacher at Ivy Hall Elementary, teaching third and fourth grades.

In 2007 she began serving District students as a reading specialist at Ivy Hall and then Country Meadows Elementary Schools. In 2011, she accepted the position of assistant principal at Twin Groves Middle School and in 2012 accepted her current responsibility as Ivy Hall principal.

Mrs. Gluck will succeed Mrs. Heather Friziellie, who has been the District’s director of educational services since 2013 and has accepted the position of superintendent in District 114 beginning in the 2017-18 school year.
