“SO HELPFUL! … GLAD I COULD ATTEND TONIGHT! … WHEN IS THE NEXT PROGRAM?”

When Dr. Michael Maniacci presents programs in KCSD96, parents’ comments most frequently heard afterward are “That was so helpful!” and “I’m glad I could attend tonight!” and “When is the next program?” (And also, “Next time I’m bringing my husband!”)

This Tues., Jan. 30, Dr. Maniacci’s topic is No More Cookie-Cutter Parenting: Understanding Character and Personality. Unless your children are identical, it isn’t reasonable to expect your parenting strategies to be “one size fits all.” Find out how understanding your kids’ character and personality will improve outcomes at home!

Tues., Jan. 30, @ the Twin Groves Middle School Learning Center, 2600 N. Buffalo Grove Rd, BG, 7–8:30 p.m. All interested adults (parents, grandparents, neighbors too!) are welcome. NO RSVP. Arrive late or leave early as your schedule requires. Questions? 847.459.4260, ext. 8022, or the public information coordinator.

YOUR SCHOOL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT NEEDS TO SEE YOU IN THE OFFICE!
If you have a student who is in Kindergarten or Grade 5 this school year, you need to act!

By Feb. 23, you must visit the office of the school your kindergartner or fifth grader attends currently to prove your residency again.

To prove residency, you’ll:
STEP 1:
Bring to the office two (2) documents: a current monthly mortgage or lease statement or tax bill AND a current utility bill
STEP 2:
Sign a form the administrative assistant provides (must be a signature witnessed by KCSD96 school office staff)

FAQ:
• May I send required forms with my student?
No. You must come to the office in order to provide a witnessed signature.

• What are school office hours?
Kindergarten hours are 9 a.m.–2:45 p.m. on days when school is in session. If you need to visit the Willow Grove office before or after these hours, send an email to Administrative Assistant Karen Graham to arrange a time: [email protected]

Elementary hours are 8:25 a.m.–3 p.m. on days when school is in session. If you need to visit the elementary school office before or after these hours, contact the appropriate staff member to arrange a time:
Country Meadows: Administrative Assistant Cheryl Kelly [email protected]
Ivy Hall: Administrative Assistant Pat Hannon [email protected]
Kildeer: Administrative Assistant Ruth Fineman [email protected]
Prairie: Administrative Assistant Linda Johnson [email protected]

• By when must I prove residency again?
No later than Fri., Feb. 23. This deadline is important, because your current kindergartner’s 1st-grade registration form link and your fifth grader’s 6th-grade registration form link will not be emailed when 2018–19 registration opens for all returning students on March 1. He/she will not be assigned a teacher for 2018–19 until you do so.
