REGARDING TRANSPORTATION DELAYS
Transportation that’s safe, reliable, and consistent throughout the year is the priority for our District 96 students traveling to and from our schools by bus. Indeed, we work closely with our transportation provider First Student to develop efficient routes and we monitor the arrival time of our buses throughout the school year to track this.

Recently, however, traffic patterns along Route 22 (Half Day Road), Old McHenry Road, and Cuba Road have worsened and contributed to delays. District Transportation and First Student staff are collaborating to navigate this disruption while maintaining scheduled bus routes and stops for our students.

We regret that–because alternate route options are, in fact, limited–Kildeer students riding buses traveling through these areas may experience minor delays temporarily. Be assured, however, that our close attention and efforts to alleviate this situation continue.
