LUNCH LEFTOVERS?
• Does your 8th grader have a positive lunch account balance?
Positive lunch account balances (any amount) may be transferred to a younger sibling enrolled in District 96, Grades 1–8, for the 2017–18 school year. Make or request your transfer NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, JUNE 9.
To make the transfer online:
Log into your K-12 Payment Center account and select “Transfer Funds” from the menu on the left side of the website homepage. OR
To request a transfer if you have not yet established an account:
Send a “Transfer Request” email to Lynn Johanek, Accounts Payable: [email protected]”
Include the following info: Names of BOTH the graduating 8th grader AND the remaining D96 sibling whose account should receive the transferred amount.

SUMMER READING
Grades KDG – 8 have a 2017 summer reading assignment!
Reading during the summer is critically important for a student’s continued growth.
NEW this summer, KCSD96 faculty have provided a parent letter, a POSTCARD to download and print for students entering grade 2 or 3, reading resources, and assignment details for all 2017–18 students:

DISTRICT /BUSINESS OFFICE SUMMER HOURS
The District/Business Offices will have summer hours June 5–Aug. 4. During that time the office will be open to the public Monday–Thursday 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and Friday 7:30–11:30 a.m. The office is closed on July 4 in observance of Independence Day. NOTE: The District Office building will be closed for renovation after June 6. District Office staff will work from the Ivy Hall School Office. District Office staff phone extensions will not change during this period.
REGISTER YOUR MUSICIAN FOR THE 2017–18 SCHOOL YEAR
Please register your child for Beginning Band and Orchestra. Students must be entering Grade 5 to join the band and entering Grade 4 to join the orchestra. These beginning musicians will start band and orchestra in August 2017.

District 96 will have Screening on August 10, for students who are interested in the blended program for the 2017-2018 school year or for parents that have concerns about their child's development? MORE INFO
Parents of students 3 and older can call Willow Grove to sign up for screening. The screening will take place at the ELC.
