WHAT DOES THE PARENT-TO-PARENT NETWORK DO?
• We talk.
The Parent-to-Parent Network includes any District 96 parent interested in meeting and having conversations with other D96 parents. It's every parents' opportunity to sit down with other parents to discuss, ask questions, share concerns, offer suggestions, and meet parents with D96 students the age(s) of your own. We meet at Sunset Foods (2nd-floor Community Rm) approximately monthly for Conversation Opportunities (scroll down to see our scheduled Conversation Opportunity dates).

• We learn together.
We discuss articles and TEDs Talks, read books, and invite speakers on topics we're interested in as parents raising kids in the fast-paced, competitive, technology-driven 21st century. We give parents resources and help them anticipate what's ahead:

  • prepare families for transitions to kindergarten, middle school, and high school

  • offer professional support through expert speakers' presentations and Q&A opportunities

  • increase knowledge of the digital world kids today live and learn in

If you're a District 96 parent interested in meeting/talking with other parents and/or helping with parent program planning, please join our conversation. Questions? Call 847.459.4260, ext. 8022, or send email to [email protected]
